In 1976, I was a Democrat. Yes, I am a baby-boomer. At that time the democrat party stood for the values and policies of what I still mostly hold today. Strong economy with available good jobs, lower taxes, protection of family and country in cold war days, US border security from illegal invasions, protection of personal rights without fear of government overreach, good education for Americans, lower than 15% interest rates, and to stop the death and suffering from unnecessary wars and conflicts. Belief in supporting the American way of life. That BLUE Democrat party changed and I changed political alliance and registered GOP RED Republican. There was and is a cost socially with family, friends, and personal associations. I did not change morals nor values, the BLUE Democrat party did change.

The "true" GOP RED Republican now represents the values I had and retained when the BLUE Democrat was not a LEFT LIBERAL PARTY. I am proud to be GOP RED! One can vote proudly as a Democrat supporting GOP Republican policies and representation. And, others that are GOP Red Republicans can and should make commitment to the responsibility to VOTE and elect leadership to support their values, beliefs, and direction for Kansas and America.

Politics today is like a soap opera daytime TV show. It is tiring and annoying. The real problems and issues are just overshadowed by drama of the media presentations. What happened to REAL JOURNALISM presenting factual information relevant to informing intelligent audiences?
